Investing is badly served by its own abundance of free material. Beginner guides, portfolio theory and day-trading content all sit side by side, and nothing signals that the last one plays by entirely different rules — or that it is where most new money disappears.
This selection favours the long-horizon end of that spectrum: index funds and passive strategies, dividend investing, and the behavioural side of markets. That last category matters more than it looks. Most portfolios are not ruined by a bad pick but by a decision made during a drawdown.
If you are starting out, read one general book before any strategy book. Doing it the other way round teaches you a method without the assumptions it rests on.
